Carmel Valley Ranch

CARMEL VALLEY RANCH

Carmel Valley Ranch, the unbelievably picturesque resort nestled amongst 500 acres of California’s most beautiful hillsides was in the midst of a new owner and a 50 million dollar makeover. We were given the unique opportunity to rethink the entire brand. We created an entirely new voice for a place that had been around for nearly 40 years. What we ended up with was the notion of “play”. “Play” will always allow us to let our shoulders down and tap into that inner child who doesn’t question “what if” but asks “what is” and “what can be”. The idea of “Play” seemed perfectly fitting as an honest much needed distraction from our hectic lives.

RESORT PRE-LAUNCH AND WEBSITE

The purpose of this landing page was to alert existing and future guests that the resort was literally under construction, a metamorphosis was underway and that something new was coming soon.

IN ROOM CIGAR “PLAY” BOXES

To help reinforce the notion of play, these cigar boxes were meant to be little treasures guests would find in their rooms. The contents of which include: a tree swing flip book, bird caller, paper crane, wild turkey feather, coloring set, seeds from the resort garden, smores recipe, the unofficial rules of Bocce, Lavander from the grounds, field notes, and a wild birds of California book, all to inspire exploration, fun, and play.
